The exhausted travelers

A big thanks to Donovan and Eva for letting us stay at their house on our last night, without your help it would have been a very cold and uncomfortable night indeed! (The truck had already left with all our bedding)

So we woke up at 02:00 and got into the car, then we had to go into town and drop off our keys, by the time all of that was done it was 03:00. I drove South out of NI and down through SI or Ireland until 08:00. Then we boarded the ferry, we were all exhausted.

That's a desperately tired smile :(

I slept on the ferry for about an hour, the kids ran around and played, the ferry trip lasted 3 1/2 hours. Then back onto the road for another 5 hours - it was supposed to be 4 1/2 hours, but the traffic was quite bad near to Portsmouth, so we lost half an hour.

Then it was onto the next ferry, this on lasting 20 min. And finally onto the IOW. I got to our new house at 20:00, so it was a very long day.

Poor Pete had to wake up the next morning early and drive the truck all the way back to NI. Then the next morning he flew down to Heathrow, caught two trains, another ferry and finally we were back together as a family in our new home.

Another thank you to Graham and Sarah for having Pete for the night, and to Angela for finding us our house.
