10/10/10 continued

When we woke up on the morning of our anniversary Pete asked me if there was anything I really wanted to do before we went home. Of course there was something I really wanted to do, ever since I had heard about it I had wanted to go there.

Harry Potter fans the world over want to go there and I got to go!!!

(I did worry about going to Kings Cross on 10/10/10 though, it just seemed like tempting fate, however we got home safely.)

We asked two guys who were waiting in a queue to take this photo, Pete was so embarrassed for some reason? And lastly Pete's first go on the London Underground, thankfully it was uneventful. And then we were headed home. What a fabulous weekend. Thanks Pete for working so hard to make this possible.

10/10/10 (Our Anniversary)

These pictures are all upside down, so you'll have to look from the bottom up.

Well what are you waiting for, go to the bottom of the post already! :)

And we are back to the top again, Pete took me to see a show in the West End called Stomp. It was absolutely BRILLIANT, they are amazing. We want to take the kids to see them as soon as we can. (This one was my favourite though)

More to follow...
The Queen's swans,
These squirrels were everywhere in the park, they are so cute,
And of course when we saw this place Pete had to get a picture there, see the red carpet rolled out for him.

Then we walked past Westminster Abbey,

These people must have such patience, they move when you put money in the containers, they are really good.

The Thames river with the houses of parliament, Big Ben and London Eye in the back ground.
Nelson's column,
Then we saw South Africa house, I liked this picture because the London bus seems somehow at odds...

On the way to our hotel we walked under Admirality Arch,

Then we took a walk, and on the way we saw Buckingham Palace! Wow, what a lot of people and cameras. It was actually so exciting to be a tourist.

Then another train. Then a train,Then we caught another bus,Then we caught the ferry,We caught the bus which stops just up the road from us,

I have always wanted to go on a holiday where no personal/private transport is used. So we packed our bags and walked out the door.

Me feeding a squirrel, I was a little nervous, because they can bite you know.
Pete took me to London for the weekend of our wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous time, it was the first time Pete had been to London since he was a boy.
