Crazy Irish family
Well today we went to the beach for some fun in the canoes. We got there at 19:00 and played for about an hour. The kids (and that includes the tall one in the sleeveless wetsuit) had a great time in the freezing Irish sea. See the sensible one on the beach in her jacket, well I wasn't cold on the way home. A great time was had by all.

This picture sequence is of Cheryn and Zeek balancing on the upside down canoe and dad pushing them over. We all had a good laugh about that because he didn't even touch them, he just approached and made as if he was going to push them over. They leaned away from him and then fell in.

And my day just gets better!
The post woman (or is it post person?) just came up the driveway with a box in her hands. We knew what was in it and were VERY exited. Thank you Peter C. It's the simple things in life that make you happy.

Dry wors, biltong and Nik Naks. :)

Joie De Vie
Have you ever woken up and just been full of joie de vie? (this is the joy of life by the way) I feel like I am going to burst with joy.
I am a child of God
I feel my Saviour's love
I have a body that works well
I have a husband who loves me dearly
I have four beautiful, healthy children
I live in this gorgeous place which is just bursting with life a this Spring/Summer time
2 Nephi 4:15, "...For my soul delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them...."
and in v 16, "Behold my soul delighteth in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually upon the things which I have seen and heard."
and in v 34, "O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever."
What more could any girl want!

Chef Pete
Food should be a delight to the eye as well as to the tongue. Pete lives by this motto. Look at what we had for lunch on Sunday.

Cashew nuts lightly fried in sesame seed oil and then glazed in honey. Crispy bacon finely chopped. A home made light curry basting for the chicken. Two home made salad dressings, one was made with blue cheese and the other with feta cheese.
A delight to the tongue indeed!

Neighbourhood stingers
Our garden is the favourite in the neighbourhood. It is big, flat and it has our children in it! Oh and Pete too. They love it when Pete goes out to play, they sometimes ask: "Is your dad coming out to play?" The favourites lately have been stingers (played with a soccer ball) rounders or cricket.

Guess Who?!
I saw this this morning I thought I would share it. Doesn't it look like some weird cultish rock band in the making? (by the way they have no idea they are being filmed)
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Summer seems to be here
Cheryn has been off school for the last week because her school has a new building that they are busy moving into. So one morning Pete, Cheryn and I went down to the beach for some fun in the water. I had a go and was not scared (I thought that I would be) and then Pete and Cheryn had a go. It was a lovely morning out. Oh and yes that is the sea, we get some waves when the ferry goes by.
