Cheryn's Prom

In the UK Prom is like Matric Farewell.  So here are the long awaited photos of our beautiful Cheryn:

 Getting her hair and make up done;

 The boys playing with the hair extensions;

 All ready (I dread to think what she will be like for her wedding, because she was 20 minutes late for the prom - although, she wasn't the only late one)

 Pete going down the stairs before Cheryn just in case she tripped.
 Cheryn and her friend Shakira;
 Vincent looking dashing in his new suit;

She had a lovely time.  Some of the girls in her class were not sure how she was going to achieve being modest at Prom, they were all suitably impressed with her outfit.  Well done Cheryn, you are lovely in so many ways!

Zeek the Fireman

Zeek has wanted to be a fireman since he was little, it is still what he wants to be.  A few weeks ago the youth went to the fire station for their Wednesday night youth activity.  Zeek got the chance to try on the outfit, he absolutely loved it!

Legoland

We have a tradition in our family, when you turn 10 you get to go on a holiday with Mom!

Cheryn chose a natural hot springs resort (in South Africa), we swam, rode horses and played games.

Zeek chose a beautiful B&B near the mountains in Northern Ireland with various activities including horse riding.

Rachel chose a hotel on the Isle of Wight with a pool and steam room and a day at a local theme park Blackgang Chine.

Corbin chose a day at Legoland, and it so happened that they were having a package deal at the time I booked, so we got to spend the night at the Hilton Hotel and got an extra day free at Legoland!  It was an absolute blast, I can't remember the last time my jaw was hurting and my stomach aching from laughing so much!  Corbin had a fabulous time, I am glad that we had this tradition, and it seems a pity that it's over, I sense another one in the making, maybe a holiday when they turn 18?  I'll keep you posted...
