We are moving

It has been a hectic day. But tonight we will sleep in a warm house, Yippee!

I'll post pics when we are settled.

As promised

The other wedding anniversary pictures. These were taken by a friend in our ward, and most of them were great, but there were a few that just needed a little cleaning up (hair fixed, cars removed, clothes cleaned up) Oh I love photo shop and of course my cousins talent. Thank you Jenny they look so much better it is amazing what you are able to do.

Instant obedience, that's what I like

See, when mother speaks, children listen.

If only....

Come join us for lunch

We have Cherries from Chile, Strawberries from Holland and Raspberries from the USA.

I just love living in the land of 'if it's growing somewhere in the world we'll get it for you'. Mind you the Raspberries and Cherries were quite pricey!

Halloween games

A new one for me this year was making mummies out of people. The kids saw this done at the Halloween party we went to and then again at the ward social we went to the other night. So when we got home they wanted to be mummified.

Rachel

CorbinCheryn was out. And for any of you out there who are thinking of the waste, don't worry, we believe in the old adage: waste not want not!

The hazards of studying hair dressing

On Tuesday night I went to class and someone wanted to practice highlighting. So I said they could practice on my hair. Having previously had bleach highlights in my hair was what caused the problem. They chose a copper colour and merrily went on their way applying it. This photo doesn't do the pink justice, but I tell you, it was Pink!

Well if I had left it for any length of time my new nickname would have been pinkie! But I didn't feel comfortable with pink in my hair, too extreme. So I went and bought a dye from Tesco and now I am light brown.

You can still see the red streaks through my hair, but at least they aren't pink. And it's a semi-permanent dye, so it will wash out in about a month or so. I'll decide then what can be done about my hair.
Well I suppose it is better than slipping with the scissors. That could be really bad.

80% of websites are broken

Earlier this year we studied the sites of our clients - about 784 of them. About 80% lacked elements that SEO experts say are crucial for Google to rank pages correctly. These errors had been there since day one, hurting traffic.

We've just completed a similar study on 310,000 sites to see how many of them have these issues. We wanted to know how many are missing Page Titles and/or Page Descriptions and/or have enough text to be useful. (Just the marketing aspect.) We ignored anything to do with the website's ability to convert lookers into buyers. If these were brick and mortar businesses it would be like driving past and looking at the signs and window displays.

The results are sobering. A third have broken page titles, about half have no page description at all, and a sixth had no text!

The full report is 6 pages long, in simple English designed for our small business community. The full report of site marketing defects is here: Website Marketing Defects Survey

Looks can be deceiving

Donovan is such a strong guy, he was pulling Rachel up this tree. Or was he?

Team work

There is an old rabbit hutch in our garden and the grass had grown through it. Really hard to remove! But with enough hands anything is possible. And Pete helping in the garden! This was a moment worth capturing on camera, I needed the proof otherwise no one who knows Pete would believe me!

Happy Halloween

Pete didn't dress up, that is why he isn't in the photos. We went to Ben and Heather's house for their annual Halloween party. Then we went and trick or treated around their neighbourhood. The kids had a great time, the adults froze!

A great time was had by all overall though.
